86 Days After The Storm

There are some days when all the right words have already been said.  Today is one of those days.

I can’t say it better than this Joplin teacher.

I can’t relay the spirit of this community better than this news report.

For tonight, I can only say that at 7:45 this morning my children started the second grade, third grade, and preschool  just 86 days after the storm.  And life goes on.

  1. I can’t believe everything you and your community have been through. I’ve read (and continue to read) story after story.

God Bless. Hope your kids have a terrific start to the school year.

  2. Sometimes it’s hard to know just how life can go on but somehow it does, there always seem to be some sort of ‘normality’ that needs to be attended to. Hope they all have a great school year, can’t believe your term starts so early! 🙂

  3. I am so glad that your kids got a backpack full of supplies! It just warms my heart to know that so many people out there care enough to give to children they don’t know. I pray your kids have a good school year.

  4. Many blessings to you, your family and your community as you continue in the healing process. Sometimes returning to “normal life” is necessary when the abnormal has dominated for so long!
